Do your organizational and public engagement goals include:
  • Building a national reputation for your organization and its events?
  • Introducing your performances or exhibitions to new audiences in new venues?
  • Reaching college age students?
  • Using your work as an arts education tool?

Approximately 57,000 educational institutions across the United States have access to Internet 2, a high-speed online service that can provide you with the tools towards reaching these goals.   A painter, dancer, conductor, actor, curator, stage director or others from your artistic or administrative teams can share their work with countless audience members live, in real-time, either from a venue that utilizes Internet 2, or through the studios at MAGPI.  Located at the University of Pennsylvania, MAGPI is the region’s only power networking gateway, delivering regional infrastructure in a cost-effective manner and promoting applications for the region's research and education communities through high performance network technology.

Learn how MAGPI can screen interactive sessions with your artists/administrators, as well as live or recorded performances, into theaters, classrooms and other campus venues.  Hear how The Philadelphia Orchestra has used Internet 2 as a distribution channel for its concerts to new venues throughout the world.  Find out how the School District of Philadelphia plans to collaborate with arts organization in using Internet 2 as an arts education tool.

This event is being presented by the Marketing Innovation Program of the Philadelphia Center for Arts and Heritage, funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and administered by The University of the Arts, and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
